Writers Rizia Rahman and Fatima Rumi will receive Exim Bank-Anyadin Humayun Ahmed Literary Award this year.
The award ceremony will be held today at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad Auditorium of Bangla Academy ahead of late iconic Humayun Ahmed’s birth anniversary tomorrow (November 13).
Rizia Rahman has been selected for the award in recognition of his contribution to the field of literature, while Fatima Rumi has been selected in the young writer category.
Presided over by National professor Anisuzzaman, Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will attend the award ceremony as chief guest. Chairman of Exim Bank Nazrul Islam Mazumdar and Humayun Ahmed’s widow Meher Afroz Shaon will also attend the event while Anyadin Editor Mazharul Islam will deliver the welcome speech.
