‘Oikyafront working to rehabilitate BNP’

Leaders of Khulna Awami League yesterday said that the Jatiya Oikyafront led by Ganaforum President Dr Kamal Hossain is working out to rehabilitate the BNP and bring its acting chief Tarique Rahman back from exile. “Ziaur Rahman had rehabilitated war criminals. Now the Oikyafront leaders intend to rehabilitate BNP. Their dream won’t be fulfilled, as people won’t approve of such plan,” they said.

AL leaders said this while addressing a youth rally at Shaheed Hadis Park in the city marking the 46th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami Juba League organised by Khulna city unit Juba League.

Chaired by city unit Juba League convener Sarder Anisur Rahman Poplu, Khulna City Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid and parliament member

Mizanur Rahman Mizan, among others, spoke.

The AL leaders campaigned for ‘vote for boat’ to return AL to power again to continue country’s development spree to make Bangladesh a develop country by 2041.

Earlier, Juba League leaders hoisted national and party flags atop the party office and placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Muzibur Rahman. A colourful procession was brought out in   in the evening followed by a musical soiree at the Shaheed Hadis Park.

Meanwhile, Rangpur city unit of Juba League celebrated the 46th founding anniversary of the organisation yesterday with a fresh call to bring Awami League to power again through national election for continuation of development.

Leaders of city Juba League came up with the call at the post ‘Ananda Rally’ discussion held on the ‘Mukta Mancha’ at the Public Library ground in the city.

Earlier, the city unit of Juba League hoisted organisational and national flags, placed wreaths on portraits of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and founder of Juba League Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, brought out ‘Ananda Rally’ and cut cake on the occasion.

The Juba League leaders stressed on strengthening the hands of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in building a developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ by serving the common people selflessly to fulfill their hopes and aspirations.
