Audience-admired actress Shanarei Devi Shanu, winner of beauty pageant ‘Lux-Channel i Superstar 2005’, is currently waiting for her maiden movie ‘Mr Bangladesh’ directed by Abu Akhtarul Iman. The film is set to hit countrywide cinemas this November 16.
Based on the story about anti-extremism and terrorism, ‘Mr Bangladesh’ will present Shanu in the role of a doctor providing medical assistance in Rohingya camp.
DhakaLive has news that Shanu is now busy promoting the film through different platforms, including print and electronic media. The cast and crew of ‘Mr Bangladesh’ are also taking part in promotional activities in different educational institutes of the capital.
“As the film ‘Mr Bangladesh’ is my maiden film, I am waiting for the film’s release eagerly. ‘Mr Bangladesh’ holds a story of anti-terrorism, a revolt against terrorism to frankly speak. It does not only include the elements of terrorism, but also it contains other elements such as songs, action, comedy and other elements of a film,” said Shanu.
“We wanted to portray and the present the scenario of the young generation, about how they are being brainwashed to get involved in the heinous acts of terrorism. The time when we begin the shooting, the country was not stable like it is now when we began to work on this film. It was a challenging task for us both on-screen and off-screen,” she added.
Jaaz Multimedia, a renowned film production and distribution house, is going to distribute the film. However, the names of the movie theatres allocated for the film’s release have not been disclosed yet.
