Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday said his party will have no objection if the Election Commission reschedules the 11th parliamentary polls, but ‘this has to be done logically’. "Holding the national election, including the deferment of its schedule, is the jurisdiction of the Election Commission.
They'll decide whether they'll defer the schedule. But the deferment should be done logically," said the AL leader while speaking at a press conference at its Dhanmondi office. Earlier in the day, the Dr Kamal Hossain-led Jatiya Oikyofront demanded deferment of the current election schedule by one month while talking to journalists at a press briefing at the Jatiya Press Club.
