Zimbabwe draw 3-day practice match in Ctg

The three-day practice match between Zimbabwe and BCB XI predictably ended in a draw after first two days of the game almost washed out due to inclement weather at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
After the first day was abandoned without a ball being bowled, only nine overs were possible on the second day as Zimbabwe reached 12 for one after being sent to bat first.
However a full day game was possible on the third and final day and Zimbabwe declared their first innings on 145 for five in 48 overs with Sikandar Raza being unbeaten on 32.
Skipper Hamilton Masakadza who retired hurt was the highest scorer for the team with 39 runs. Sean Williams scored 29.
The BCB XI batted seven overs to score 20 for one. Kyle Jarvis got the wicket of Ariful Haque for 4, who opened the innings with Nazmul Hossain Shanto. Opener Shanto was unbeaten on 10.
Zimbabwe would reach Sylhet today as they will take on Bangladesh in the first Test, beginning from Saturday. Sylhet International Cricket Stadium would be unveiled as the eighth venue of the country with this Test match.
