Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided to retake the ‘controversial’ 'Gha' unit admission test under Social Sciences faculty afresh on November 16.
The authorities issued the fresh date on the DU website www.admission.eis.du.ac.bd yesterday evening where it was said that the admission test will be held under the 'conventional method'.
A total of 18,463 admission seekers who scored the pass mark in the previous entry test can sit for the retest.
On the day, an hour-long entry test will be held on the DU campus from 3pm to 4pm. The 'Gha' unit admission test was held on October 12 amid the allegation of question paper leak.
The results were published on October 16 showing a 26 per cent pass rate, highest for this unit in the last five years.
Amid widespread protests over the alleged question paper leakage, Dhaka University authorities on Tuesday decided to take the 'Gha' unit admission test for 2018-19 academic session.
Earlier, law enforcement agencies also found evidence that the question paper for the ‘Gha’ unit admission test was leaked 43 minutes prior to the exam, and was circulated by two admission information centres in Bogra.
Six people, including an admission-seeker and his father, were arrested in connection with the incident.
