Sheikh Hasina�s birthday today

Today is the 69th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is also president of Bangladesh Awami League, reports BSS. She is the eldest of the five children of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his spouse, Begum Fazilatunnesa. However, all three of her brothers were killed on the Dark Night of August 15, 1975 along with the parents and much of the extended family. Hasina and her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, survived the killing orgy as they were away in Germany at that time. On September 28, 1947 Sheikh Hasina was born in the village of Tungipara in what is now Gopalganj district. Awami League and his sister organizations have drawn up elaborate programs to mark the day.
