Bullet-hit body of ‘drug trader’ recovered

Cox’s Bazar: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a suspected drug trader from Maheshkhalia Para in Teknaf upazila early yesterday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Mufiz Alam, son of Lal Mia of Hnila Leda area in the upazila.

Being informed that two groups of ‘drug traders’ were exchanging bullets, a team of police went to the spot and recovered Mufiz with bullet injuries early in the morning, said Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.

The injured was taken to Teknaf Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.

Police also recovered 5,000 pieces of Yaba tablets, five LG guns and 20 bullets from the spot.
