CUMILLA: Police recovered the partially decomposed body of a newlywed housewife from their house in Race Course area of the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Liza Akhter, 24, wife of Abdullah Al Masud of Baksimul village in Burichang upazila of the district.
Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Md Abu Salam Miah said locals informed police as a bad odour was coming from the locked house. Later, police stormed the house breaking open the door only to find Liza’s partially decomposed body inside.
The body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said, adding that Masud had been on the run. Masud might have killed his wife 2-3 days ago over family feud, he added.
