KUET admission test on October 27
KHULNA: The admission test of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) for the first years honours courses under 2018-19 academic session will be held on October 27 from 10am to 12.30 pm. The elaborate schedule was announced on Thursday by the KUET authorities, said a press release issued by Monoz Kumar Mazumder, Public Relation Officer of KUET. The admission test will be held in seven centres. The centers are KUET campus, KUET High School, Teachers Training College (TTC), Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute (HSTTI), Govt. Laboratory High School, Technical Training Center (Male) and Technical Training Center (Female). The detail information is available at KUET website. (www.admission.kuet.ac.bd).
IU appoints 5 new assistant proctors
Kushtia: The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Friday appointed five new assistant proctors. They are associate Prof M Anisur Rahman of Mathematics department, assistant Prof Muhammad Nasir Uddin Azhary of Al-fiq and legal studies department, assistant Prof Jahangir Sadat of Management department, assistant Prof Shammy Akter of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology department and Shahed Ahmed of Economics department.
IU publishes admission test schedule
Kushtia: The schedule for the admission test for the 1st year honours courses under the academic session 2018-19 of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia was published on Saturday night. According to the schedule, the first shift will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am while the second shift from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, third shift from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and fourth shift will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of IU central admission test committee with its Vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari in the chair. The admission test, however, will be held in two days from November 4 to 5 instead of four days, said IU Pro-VC Professor M Shahinoor Rahman. The admission tests of A and B units will be held on November 4 whileC and D units will be held on November 5. DU observes Intl Day for Disaster Reduction
The International Day for Disaster Reduction-2018 was observed at Dhaka University (DU) in a befitting manner. The Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies of the university brought out a procession from the premises of Aparajeyo Bangla, marking the day. Teachers and students of various institutes and departments of the university joined procession, a DU press release said. DU Vice-Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the programme. DU Pro-VC (Academic) Prof Nasreen Ahmad, Pro-VC of Bangladesh Open University Khondaker Mokaddem Hossain and Director of the institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies Mahbuba Nasrin were, among others, present.
