BNP leader Tariqul seriously ill, hospitalised

BNP standing committee member Tariqul Islam has been admitted to a city hospital as fell sick seriously, reports UNB "My father [Tariqul] was admitted to Apollo Hospital on Saturday and kept in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital," his son Aninda Islam Amit told yesterday. Mentioning that Tariqul has been suffering from heart, kidney diseases, diabetic and old-age complications, he urged all to pry for the early recovery of his father.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Tariqul, a former minister, on Saturday after he was taken to the hospital.
