Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team will fly to Sri Lanka at 1pm today to play a bilateral series against its Sri Lankan counterparts.
The series comprising two youth Tests (four-day affairs) along with five youth one-day series will start from October 17.
The tour will open with the youth Test, the first of which will be begun at the Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) ground in Colombo on October 17-20.
The second and last youth Test will be staged at the Katunayake-MCG from October 23-26.
Therefore, the youth one-day series will kick off, the first three of which will be played at Dambulla-RDICS on October 30, November 1 and 3 respectively.
The fourth and fifth one-day of the series will be played at the Katunayake-MCG on November 6 and 9 correspondingly.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) meanwhile announced a 20-member squad including five standby players for their maiden away tour in Sri Lanka.
It is all-rounder Tawhid Hridoy, who led Bangladesh in ACC U-19 Asia Cup at home turf, will captain the youth Tigers in Colombo.
Bangladeshi youth embanked on their practice for the ensuing Sri Lanka tour on October 10, just five-day after their Asia Cup loss in last-over thriller in Mirpur on October 4.
Before flying to Sri Lanka, they held match-scenario practice for two days at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
The BCB arranged the tour for their youth team as a part of their preparation for the World Cup, the ICC showpiece event for the youth that will be taken place in South Africa in 2020.
