Bangladesh Army’s female judokas dominated the opening day of the 35th National and Under-18 Judo Championship which began yesterday at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the capital.
Army’s female judokas won as many as for gold medals while Police won the other in the three day meet. Army’s Liza Khondokar earned the first gold in +78 kg. Liza’s teammate Lopa Tahmina clinched gold in the -78 kg. Farhana and Kaniz Sultana Happy won the pother two gold for Army in +70 Kg and -63 kg. Tasmina bagged the lone gold for Police in the -70 kg.
About 250 competitors drawn from different services, district sports association and BKSP are taking part in 16 weight categories.
