Students urged to acquire proper education

UNB

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday urged students to help create a hunger, poverty and discrimination free society through acquiring proper education, reports UNB. “Education is the key to eliminate gender inequality, reduce poverty, create a sustainable world; education is the key to success”, she said.

The Jatiya Sangsad Speaker made these remarks while speaking as chief guest at a award ceremony to recognise students who excelled in the O and A-level examinations in the 2017, 2018 academic sessions.  The ‘Change Makers Awards’ programme was held under the joint aegis of the World University of Bangladesh and the Daily Sun at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).

Speaker distributed medals and certificates among 655 English-medium students of 73 institutes for their brilliant results in the O and A level examinations.
