Police yesterday submitted a charge sheet against 52 BNP and Jamaat leaders and activists including Muhaddis Abu Sayed, a former MP of Jamaat, and Aninndo Islam Amit, BNP Khulna divisional secretary, in a case filed for blast and sabotage, reports UNB. Sub-inspector Sukumar Kundu (investigation) of Kotwali Model Police Station submitted the chargesheet accusing these leaders and activists of being involved in sabotage activities.
According to the case statement, acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a drive at Jamaat leader Badruzzaman's house in Shahpara of the city as a group of leaders and activists gathered there for sabotage planning and police arrested Badruzzaman for bomb blast and sabotage planning.
Later on November 24, 2016, Sub-inspector Aminur Rahman of Kotwali Model Police
Station filed the sabotage case with the police station in this connection.
