Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest festival of Muslims, will be observed on September 25. Marking the occasion, authorities of Dhaka south and north city corporations have designated specific places in the city and municipality areas for slaughtering sacrificial animals on the Eid day. The city corporations have fixed 493 spots for slaughtering animals. Of those, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has fixed 208 spots and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) fixed 285. The city councillors have been directed to facilitate the preparation to fix the spot ahead of time for animal slaughtering.
