Policeman crushed under wheels of bus

A police constable was crushed to death under the wheels of a bus on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Kukurmara point in Raipura upazila of the district yesterday.  The deceased was identified as Abdus Satter, 50, police constable of Raipura police station.  Officer-in-Chagre of Raipura police Azharul Islam said a Dhaka-bound bus from Sylhet knocked down the on-duty police man from wrong side at 4.30 pm at Kukurmara point.  Local people sent him to a private hospital in Bhairab where attending doctor declared him dead.
