Indian Minister of Commerce, Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu is set to arrive in Dhaka today on a five-day visit to discuss trade and other bilateral issues, reports UNB. Though the Indian minister is coming here at the invitation of Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, he will have important meetings with top leaders where political issues are likely to dominate as India gives importance to political stability, a diplomatic source told.
He will have a meeting with Tofail Ahmed on September 26. On the same day, he will meet with Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister AKM Shahjahan Kamal to discuss potential areas of cooperation, an official told. He will make a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid and also meet PM’s Political Affairs Adviser HT Imam and AL General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
