Finance Minister AMA Muhith leaves Dhaka today to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) Group, reports BSS.
This year the annual meetings will take place in Lima, Peru, from October 9-11 where central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics will discuss progress on the work of the IMF and the World Bank Group.
Like previous years, the annual meetings in Lima will also have seminars and regional briefings and many other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world's financial markets.
Before attending the meeting of the IMF and WB, the finance minister will go to the United States to attend the 70th UN General Assembly and the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit 2015 to be held in New York from September 25-27. Muhith will return home on October 16.
