UP member hacked over enmity

A member of Porahati union parishad was injured by some unidentified criminals in sadar upazila of Jhenidah on Sunday night.
 According to local sources some 8 to 10 criminals suddenly appeared before Azam Mandol, the member of Ghoramara ward, when he was taking tea at a shop at Goalpara Bazaar and attacked him with machetes him seriously injured. The criminals fled the spot after the attack.He has been admitted to sadar hospital.  
Officer in-charge of sadar police station Hasan Hafizur Rahman said political rivalry might be the reason behind the attack.
