The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD) and Co-operatives Ministry yesterday recommended the two Dhaka city corporations to procure quality larvicide to eradicate mosquito menace in the city, reports BSS. “The committee recommended the Dhaka north and sought city corporations to take strong measures to eradicate mosquito menace in the city areas by procuring quality larvicide through a fresh tender, if needed,” said an official release here.
The committee made the recommendation at its 21st meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its Chairman Abul Hasanat Abdullah in the chair, the release added. Committee members LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Eng Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, AKM Mostafizur Rahman and Fazle Hossain Badsha attended the meeting.
