Training workshop held at BARI

A training workshop on Fruit sapling plant and care was held at the seminar room of Horticulture Research Centre of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) in Gazipur yesterday. Director of the Horticulture Research Centre Dr Golam Morshed Abdul Halim presided over the programme while Director General of the BARI Dr Abul Kalam Azad spoke as the chief guest. Director of BARI (Support and service) Mohammed Shoeb Hasan, Director (Research) Dr Mohammed Lutfor Rahman and director (planning and evaluation) Dr Sayed Nurul Alam were present as special guests.
Chief scientific officer of Horticulture Research Centre Dr Modon Gopal Saha and principal scientific officer of fruit division of Horticulture Research Centre Dr Babul Chandra Sarker spoke among others in the programme. Total 100 farmers from different areas of Gazipur district participated in the workshop. Divisional heads of Horticulture Research Centres, branch heads and scientists were present in the programme. At the end of the workshop, BARI Director General Abul Kalam Azad distributed different fruit saplings among the farmers.
