UP chairman shot dead in Satkhira

A Jatiya Party-backed union parishad chairman was gunned down by miscreants at Krishnanagar Bazar area in Kaliganj upazila yesterday night, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Mosharrof Hossain, 52, son of Krishnanagar union parishad of the upazila. Eyewitness said six miscreants came by three motorcycles in the bazar and shot the chairman when he was sitting in front of Juba League Office area, leaving him critically injured.
