2 killed in clash over land

CUMILLA: Two people were killed and 15 others injured in a clash over land related dispute at Shidlai village in Brahmanpara upazila on Saturday morning, reports UNB.

The deceased were identified as Khorshed Alam, 45, son of Abdul Wadud Member and tea stall owner Shanu Miah, 60.

Witnesses said there was a long standing enmity between Shamsul Haque group and Liton group over a land. As a sequel to the enmity, the two groups equipped with sharp weapons locked into a fierce clash, leaving Khorshed dead and 16 people injured.
