BGB sources said that BGB has already sent a written protest note to the Indian Border Security Force.
Following the firing incident, the Border Guard Bangladesh sent a protest note to the BSF and sat in a flag meeting at sector commander level in the evening. BGB strongly protested against the BSF’s indiscriminate firing on Bangladeshi villagers.

A farmer was shot dead and four others sustained bullet injuries as Indian Border Security Force personnel fired on villagers  about 400 yards inside Bangladesh territory on Bhutiyapara border in Joypurhat on Friday.
The farmer, Abu Sayem, 35, died at the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra few hours after he was critically injured in the BSF firing.
Dhalahar Union Parishad Chairman Tozammel Hossain said the villagers went to catch fish in a canal at Pashchim Ramkrishnapur village close to the border at about 11:00am.
Some 25-30 BSF personnel entered the village, about 400 yards inside Bangladesh territory, and opened fire at the villagers, leaving five villagers injured.
The injured were identified as Sayem, Faruk Hossain, Nirmal Mandy, Parimal Mandy and Bidwut Hossain.
