Three killed in boat capsize

GOPALGANJ: A woman and her two daughters were killed as a boat capsized at Matbari Beel in Maksudpur upazila
of the district on Friday, reports BSS.
The deceased were Bithi Bala, 32, wife of Nripen Bala, and their two daughters—Bristi Bala, 8, and Koyel Bala, 5, of Barampalta village under Ujani union of the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge of Maksudpur police Azizur Rahman said the boat carrying the family of Nripen capsized in the Beel due to strong storm while going to near village.
Bithi Bala along with her two daughters died on the spot while Nripen along with his son managed to swim ashore.
