Proposed tour of Pakistan

Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, CEO of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), said that they are taking their internal and logistic preparation for the proposed tour of women’s cricket team to Pakistan if the board takes its final decision to send them in the country. “The Eid vacation in Bangladesh will start this week. The proposed tour in Pakistan has already been scheduled which will take place after the Eid vacation. In this situation, if the board took its decision to tour in Pakistan then we have to keep our preparation for that. And so, we are taking our logistic and internal preparation for the tour,” Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said yesterday.
The CEO said that Bangladesh will take their final decision regarding the women team’s tour in Pakistan ahead of the start of the Eid vacation. “In the aspects of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) invitation, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) primarily decided to send the national women’s cricket team to Pakistan subject to ensuring comprehensive security. In its continuation, our security team went to Pakistan and visited the designated venues of Lahore and Karachi,” Nizam Uddin said.
“The security team thereafter submitted their inspection report to the BCB president, who is now in abroad. We will take our final decision regarding proposed tour after the arrival of our board president,” Chowdhury told media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium yesterday.
“We are always keeping in contact with PCB for various issues. Along with that, we are taking our logistic preparation for it if the tour is take place. Hopefully we could take our final decision ahead of the start of Eid vacation.   Bangladesh are scheduled to play three-match ODIs and another three-match Twenty20 series against their Pakistan counterparts.
