No good news for pace sensation Taskin Ahmed as he was sidelined for three weeks due to his old woes of side strain injury. Taskin, who has been struggling with his side strain injury for long time, used to practice gym, running and bowling regularly as per the guideline prescribed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physio.
He was named for Bangladesh-A after his recuperation. But he sustained injury during the first unofficial ODI match against India-A.
The young pacer came to meet with Dr. Debashish Roy, chief medical officer of BCB on Saturday. Roy suggested him to do MRI scan on Monday to know the current status of the pacer.
“Taskin comes to me today. He has quite a bit pains in his side. We suggest him to do scan day after tomorrow (Monday). And then it will be got about his injury status. But he has to stay for at least three weeks out of field,” said Debashish Roy. “We have nothing to do for him. He has to stay relax,” he added. Due to injury he had to miss the last home series against South Africa.
