Dr Shirin to join Bangkok confce on hunger

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will to attend an international conference titled 'Accelerating the End of hunger and Malnutrition' to be held in Thailand in November next as the key speaker, reports UNB. The Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) will jointly arrange the conference on November 28-30. IFPRI representative in Bangladesh Akhter Ahmed on Monday met the Speaker at her Jatiya Sangsad office and invited to join the event. The Speaker accepted the invitation and lauded the initiative to arrange such a conference, said a Parliament Secretariat handout.
