BNP senior leader Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury yesterday filed a writ petition with the High Court (HC) challenging the legality of an Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) notice asking him to appear before it for facing interrogation, reports UNB. Amir Khosru's lawyer Abdullah Al Mahmud Masud filed the petition seeking a stay on the effectiveness of the ACC notice. The lawyer said the HC might hear the petition tomorrow.

On August 28, Khosru sought time to appear before the ACC while the ACC fixed September 10 as fresh date for his appearance before the anti-corrupt body.
