Refugee crisis and Western double standards

Refugee crisis and Western double standards

At last President Assad of Syria has spoken a bitter truth. He said, "West should blame itself for exodus that's hitting Europe. West is to blame for the refugee crisis in such a magnitude because of its support for terrorism". Referring to the reaction to the pictures of 3 year old Alan Kurdi's lifeless body washed up on a Turkish beach he asked: "We all mourn these innocent victims but is one life lost drowned at sea more valuable than those who have died in Syria?" He further said, "How can one be indignant about a drowned child and remain silent about the death of thousands of children, elderly people, women and men killed by terrorists in Syria? These western double standards are unacceptable. If you are worried about refugees, stop supporting terrorists."
When Assad is uttering solemn truths, the refugees are facing barbaric attack by water cannons and tear gas at the Hungarian border crossing with Serbia. Anti-terrorist military units are fighting the refugees as if they are fighting an invading foreign army from behind metal barriers set up to seal the border. The refugees have also started fighting back. In the face of sure death they perhaps thought that it is better to fight tooth and nail, because if they survive they might acquire a home.
Hungarian foreign minister Peter Szijjarto sought help from Serbia to act against the refugees. He said that a group of very aggressive migrants are persistently attacking police with rocks and pieces of concrete. The irony of fate is that in their desperation the refugees are trying to cross the border through fields of active landmines which was set up in the Croatian border during the Balkan war of 1990s which could blow up hundreds of refugees. Despite this danger many of the refugees entered into Croatia.
Regarding this refugee crisis President Assad pointed out the bitter truth that Western countries are playing a double role. On one hand, to prove that they are friends of humanity they declared quota of refugees they are ready to accept in their respective countries. President Obama said that America will accept 10,000 migrants. Britain has announced her quota and so has Germany and a few other European countries.
On the other hand, many of the European countries are closing their borders, so that migrants cannot enter their countries. They are also using their armies to prevent this exodus. They are now using the excuse that many Islamic state fighters may mingle with the refugees and infiltrate the European countries. So they have tightened their security check and using force on the migrants. A refugee told the journalists that they fled from Syria with their women and children to avoid the war but now they are treated with the same brutality. The western countries have always boasted on their humanistic role. The question asked by thousands of Syrian refugees now is- where is that humanity?
The crisis of Syrian refugees now is a crisis of the civilization and this crisis has been created by George Bush and Tony Blair after starting a false war against Iraq. This war has created an unending disaster for the whole world. There is no end to the story. To grab the oil of the Middle-east, to grab their lands and to patronize Israel Bush and Tony Blair destroyed Iraq and Libya sponsoring the so-called Arab Spring, killed President Saddam and President Gaddafi and encouraged terrorists who had no respect for human lives to destroy Syria. The ISIS- the present terrorist group was created and aided by America and Saudi Arabia to destroy Syria and to take Iran afterwards.
President Assad is lucky that he got the support from Russia, China and Iran and survived the western campaign against him. But he could not save his countrymen. The terrorists have made his country a killing field and continuing the war with the money and arms which they once obtained from the USA and Saudi Arabia. Now Saudi Arabia has declared that they will accept 25 lakh Syrian refugees in their country. Jordan, Lebanon and other Middle-eastern countries are also providing shelters to these refugees. But refugees are still pouring, because their homeland has turned into a war field.
Western military intervention has made the situation even worse. Western countries, sensing the danger of refugee problems which might disrupt their social and economic balance, are now trying to 'bolt the door'. But this will not solve the problem. Queen Rania of Jordan pleaded with the European nations to accept more Syrian refugees and to not 'bolt the door'. Some of the Left politicians of Europe expressed their fear that bolting the door to Syrian refugees will strengthen the terrorists and spread terrorism throughout the western world rapidly. There is no easy escape for the western leaders from this
crisis because this was their own making.
Today or tomorrow most of the refugees will probably have a settlement in different parts of the western world. This may change the face of the civilization. It happened in the prehistoric age during Noah's great flood, and then during the ice age. People left their old homes and settled in faraway countries. This intercourse of culture, race, religion and colour changed the face of the early civilization and created a new kind of humanity.
This may happen again in this 21st century with this worldwide immigration crisis. Western powers, when they initiated this crisis to establish their new world order with an aim to subordinate the whole world, to satisfy their greed and power could not imagine this will become a boomerang for them so soon.
When Iraq war was started by George Bush and Tony Blair a famous American political philosopher warned that this war is a self-destructive war for western powers. Second World War mostly destroyed Europe and caused the fall of the British Empire, but this Gulf war started by two ignorant political humbugs will destabilize the entire world and destroy the almighty American supremacy. Perhaps, he foresaw the future. This Syrian refugee crisis is the beginning of the end. President Assad rightly said that the western double standards would bring their ultimate downfall.
