Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) on Saturday observed the 42nd death anniversary of the former Chief of Air Staff Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Khademul Bashar, Bir Uttam with due solemnity, reports BSS. Air Vice Marshal Bashar possessed the extraordinary dignity of commanding the No 6 sector during War of Liberation of Bangladesh, said an Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) press release. BAF remembered the freedom fighter for his glorious contribution to achieving independence and building of BAF with due respect and honour. The brave pilot died on this day in 1976 in a tragic aircraft crash. On this occasion milad mahfil was arranged at the mosques of all BAF Bases. Munajat was also offered seeking divine blessings for salvation of the departed soul and for the continued peace and prosperity of the country.
