CHATTOGRAM: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive on Friday arrested a sub-inspector of police for his alleged involvement in drug trading, reports UNB. The detainee was identified as Sub-inspector Badruddoza of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). The policeman was detained following the confessional statement of truck driver Md Moktar, 24, and his helper Md Sobuj Prakash Babu, 19, who were arrested early Friday along with 29,285 pieces of yaba tablets, said RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director (Media) Mimtanur Rahman. Acting on a tip-off, the elite force members intercepted a pick-up van from near Redwan Petrol Pump in Mirsharai upazila and recovered the yaba pills from inside a file-cabinet which was being taken to Dhaka residence of Sub-inspector Badruddoza, said the RAB official.
