Saikat slams ton as Barisal amass a mammoth total

Mosaddek Hossain Saikat’s 122 steered Barisal Division to score a mammoth 302 against Rajshahi Division on the first day of the maiden round in the Tier-2 match of the National Cricket League at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi yesterday.
At Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah, Sylhet Division put on 240-4 against Chittagong on the close of the Day-1.

Rajshahi vs Barisal
The Visiting side got off to a solid start as they scored 73-run in the opening stand between Shahriar Nafees (75) and Pinak Ghosh (21). But Sanjamul Islam made his inroad when he removed Ghosh and Fazle Mahmud (14) in the space of 22 runs. The left-arm spinner, who mostly shone for Rajshahi, scalped six wickets for 123.

He stitched a couple of successful partnerships including a 67-run with Sohag Gazi for the fifth wicket, which crossed the 200-run mark. He hit another 43-run with Shahriar Nafees for the fourth wicket stand. Saikat was the last batsman, who fell for 122 off 149, clobbering six big shots over the ropes as well as 11 boundaries.
In reply, Rajshahi were 19-2 with Jahurul Islam scoring eight and Nihaduzzaman was on four not out.
Chittagong vs Sylhet
