CHITTAGONG: Police in overnight special drives arrested 120 people, including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, from different upazilas of the Chittagong district yesterday, reports BSS. The law enforcers also seized 71 litres of liquor and 2500 yaba tablets during the night-long drives. Mohammad Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district police, said that they different team conducted special drives in different upazilas and arrested 120 people, including two activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, for their alleged involvement in creating violence in the areas. He said among others, 99 detained people were warranted in different cases.
