Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia yesterday said no large scale crime was taken place during the Eid-ul-Azha vacation as police personnel performed their duties with professionalism, reports BSS.
“We have taken tight security measures in the capital city for peaceful celebration of the Eid and policemen had performed duties with professionalism for which no major crime was taken place during the vacation,” he said at an Eid reunion programme of the police personnel at DMP headquarters in the capital.
Asaduzzaman Mia thanked the DMP personnel for their hardworking in ensuring security to the city dwellers and maintaining law and order of the capital city.
Describing arrangement of security during the Eid vacation when the Dhaka city bore deserted look as hundreds of thousands of people left the capital for their village homes, he further said, “No significant crime was taken place during the vacation because of tight security arrangements.”
