The third death anniversary of Kazi Zafar Ahmed, former prime minister and chairman of a faction of Jatiya Party, will be observed today, reports UNB.
Various programmes, including Qurankhwani, milad mahfil and discussion, have been chalked out to mark the day, said a press release yesterday.
Leaders of Jatiya Party (Zafar) and other political parties and followers and well-wishers of Kazi Zafar will place wreaths at his grave in Cumilla's Chouddagram upazila.
They will also hold a milad mahfil and discussion at Kazi House at Chouddagram's Cheora.
On August 27, 2015, Kazi Zafar died at a hospital here at the age of 76. He was prime minister during HM Ershad's regime.
