Minister for Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor yesterday called for projecting Bengali culture to the world, reports BSS from Tangail.
The country could be projected in the best way though its culture, he said this while inaugurating a two-day “Behula Lachari” completion at Bhuapur in the district.
The minister said ‘Behula Lachari’ is upholding the rural heritage of Bangladesh.
Cultural organization Sadhana O Jantrik organized the ‘Behula Lachari’ completion on Baganbari High School ground at Bhuapur.
Bangla Academy Director General Dr Shamsuzzaman Khan, Dhaka University teacher Jamil Ahmed, Bhuapur Municipality Mayor Masudul Haq, Liberation War researcher Prof Shafi Uddin Talukder and folklore researcher body Sadhana chief Lubna Mamiam were present on the occasion.
