An expatriate of Jashore’s Monirampur upazila was killed and his brother-in-law injured severely in a landslide in Penang city of Malaysia on Friday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Ruhul Amin, 32, son of Sayed Ali of Itta village in Monirampur upazila and the injured as Deen Islam alias Dilu Mia, 47 of the same area.
Irfan's cousin Moin Hossain said the landslide occurred around 4pm (Bangladesh time) while they were working on a construction site in the hilly region of Malaysia, leaving Irfan dead on the spot and Dilu Mia severely injured. Dilu Mia has been undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Irfan's body is scheduled to arrive home on Wednesday next, Moin added.
