2 criminals snatched away from police

A CORRESPONDENT

Two criminals were snatched away from escorting cops by a group of youths at Sarighatbazar in Jointha upazila on Thursday night.
The incident occurred when police were taking the criminals to Jointha police station after arresting them with wine from Dorbosth Bazar in the upazila.
Police said they arrested Jalal and Sultan with wine from Dorbosth Bazsar and when they reached Sarighat Bazar, a group of youths attacked police and snatched away the two with handcuffs.
Moynul Islam, sub-inspector of Jointha police station, suspected that the attack might have been carried under the leadership of a local leader of Juba League.
