861 cans of beer seized

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Wednesday arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 861 cans of beer and six bottles of local-made alcohol from Mohammadpur area in the capital. The arrested were identified as Md Nannu, 30, and Md Pappu, 25. Talking to The Independent yesterday evening, RAB Legal and Media Wing Deputy Director Major Makshodul Alam said getting secret information, a team of RAB-2 raided at Geneva camp in Mohammadpur in the capital around 10:30pm. RAB seized 288 cans of foreign beer, six bottle local wine from the two alleged drug peddlers from a house and according to their confession, the elite force seized another 573 cans foreign beer and a private car as abandoned, said RAB official.
