Eleven people along with 45 tickets and Taka 2 lakh were arrested from Kamlapur Railway Station in the capital on charges of selling train tickets in the black market on Wednesday and yesterday morning, reports BSS. A mobile court of police arrested Al Amin (1), Nasir, Titu, Nazrul, Al Amin and Shahjahan from Kamlapur Railway Station along with 18 railway tickets yesterday (Wednesday), said a police official.
The mobile court fined Taka 3,000 to Al Amin (1), in default, he would have to suffer one month in jail and awarded 15 days jail to Shahjahan on charges of black marketing of railway tickets, he said.
Efforts are on to capture the other members of the gang, he added.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 arrested five people, Selim, Kalu, Jahangir, Babul and Kalam yesterday morning on charges of selling train tickets in the black market at Kamlapur Rail Station, said a RAB official.
They also seized 27 tickets and Tk 2.03 lakh from their possession, he said.
