The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 13 Bangladeshi nationals while they were entering in to Bangladesh through Putkhali border, near Benapole landport, at about 8 pm Wednesday night. Police could not arrest any human traffickers in this connection. According to Putkhali BGB camp Subeder Safiuddin Howlader, said the arrested persons, both male and female were not carrying passports. They went to India illegally four months ago through human traffickers in search of jobs. As they could not find any job there they returned to the country. The BGB members handed them over to Benapole port police station the same night . When contacted the Officer in-charge of Benapole Apurba Hassan said the arrested persons were produced before the court yesterday morning.
