The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water Resources Ministry yesterday recommended enhancing the ongoing dredging activities to maintain the water flow of the rivers filled with silts, reports UNB. The committee made the recommendation at its 14th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with its chairman Ramesh Chandra Sen in the chair. The meeting also advised the ministry concerned to repair the damaged infrastructures under the Water Development Board during this monsoon. The meeting suggested taking necessary steps to complete the recruitment process under the ministry quickly.
