Temperatures continued to rise in the country in the absence of rainfall after the well-marked low turned into a land depression over the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, while the convective clouds over the Bay of Bengal, along with the pressure gradient, disappeared. The meteorological department yesterday lifted the local cautionary signal No. 3 from four seaports of the country as the sea became calm. Though it left behind pressure and high humidity in the air, rich with moisture from the sea, there was no rain anywhere in the country.
