SAVAR: A schoolboy, who remained missing since Tuesday, was found dead at Bhagalpur Balurghat along the Bongshi River in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital, yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Rohan Islam Abid, 9, son of Afzal Hossain and a class I student of Kids University School.
Being informed by local people, police recovered the body of Abid from the spot in the morning, and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue, said police.
Police said Abid had an altercation with his neighbour Golam Azam over a trifling matter.
Following the incident, Azam called Abid out of his house and then killed him with the help of his two associates. They dumped the body into the river, said police quoting family members.
Two people identified as Rahul and Rahim were arrested in this connection, said Enamul, sub-inspector of Savar Model Police Station.
