GAIBANDHA: Speakers in a function yesterday urged the Paraveterinary workers to apply the acquired knowledge in field level to be self reliant and enrich livestock sector, reports BSS.
The trained workers in the livestock sector can play significant role in ensuring safe animal protein and taking the society ahead through providing their quality services to the poultry, cattle and goat farmers, they said.
They came up with the comments while addressing the concluding ceremony of three month long residential training on paravet development at the training room of a voluntary organisation of the town here this afternoon. Sinnomul Mohila Samity (SMS) arranged the function under Empowering Poor through Developing Paravet project with the financial support of German Embassy.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gautam Chandra Pal addressed the function as the chief guest and additional DC (General) Muhammad Mizanur Rahman and Sadar UNO M. Shafiqur Rahman were present at the event as the special guests.
With executive director of SMS Murshedur Rahman Khan in the chair, the ceremony was also addressed among others by veterinary surgeon Dr. Sirajul Islam, trainee Arifa Akter and journalist Sarker M. Shahiduzzaman while assistant director of SMS ABM Masudunnabi Lipon was the moderator.
