2 ‘drug traders’ killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’

Two suspected drug traders were killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in Panerchhora area of Ramu upazila of cox’s Bazar yesterday morning, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Mirza Mohammad Nizam Uddin, 30, and Ratan Rudra, 25, hailing from Lohagara upazila of Chattogram district. Being informed about a gunfight, a team of police went to the spot around 7:30 am and recovered the duo with bullet injuries, said Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ramu Police Station. Later, they were
rushed to Sadar Hospital where the duty doctors declared them dead. The law enforcers also recovered 4.50 lakh pieces Yaba tablets and four pistols, the OC said.
