The highflying Bangladesh Under-15 women’s national football team will take on Nepal in their SAFF Championship today at the Changlimithan Stadium, Bhutan.
The defending champions of the SAFF Under-15 Bangladesh team who, demolished Pakistan in their opening match by 14-0, have already confirmed their semifinal berth right after the Nepal women defeated Pakistan by 4-0 on Saturday.
Bangladesh will fight with Nepal to be the group champions when all the players and the coach also determined to win the match against Nepal.
After the huge margin win against Pakistan, team are not relaxed, they are serious about the match against Nepal.
Goalkeeper Mahmuda Akhter and midfielder Nilufer Yesmeen expressed their expectation and their stance during the match against Nepal.
Nilufar said, “We will try our best to perform better against Nepal in our next match, Nepal is better team than Pakistan. But if we can play with same fashion of our first match, we will definitely win the match against Nepal.”
According to message from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), all the players are serious about the second match, head coach Golam Rabbani Choton and the technical and strategic director Paul Smally are trying to motivate the team to keep up their spirit to play better and to win the match against Nepal.
Goalkeeper Mahmuda Akhter said, “We are very happy after winning the first match against Pakistan by big margin, because our team played a tremendous match. Now we are thinking for the second match to win against Nepal. We all will give our full efforts in the match to win.”
Striker Tohura, who has good memory playing against Nepal in the previous edition of the competition said, “In the last SAFF U-15 in Bangladesh I scored a hat-trick against Nepal. In this year, in the first match I scored two goals, in second match again I also want to score for winning the match, though Nepal is better than Pakistan and have some good players of last year.”
Attacking midfielder Monika Chakma, who had a contribution with scoring a goal of 14-0 win against Pakistan also expressed her expectation to win the match against Nepal, when she said, “We won in the first match by a big margin, I am very happy and I will give more effort in the next match to win and we want to be the group champions.”
