‘Rising C-section deliveries causing death risks to women’

Every year five thousand to seven thousand women are dying during child birth, whose main cause is caesarian sections, the death rate comes to 16 per day. This was observed by experts who joined a seminar on pain free birth at a hospital in the capital yesterday as part of its programme on the issue. It was organised by the Impulse Hospital, whose MD professor Dr Zahir Al Amin chaired the seminar.

Dr Farzana Ahmed presented the main paper in the discussion chaired by founder of Biswa Sahitya Kendra Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed. Among others Gayene specialist a Dr Neaz T  Parveen, Anaeasthesia Specialist Professor Mahmudur  Rahman  Khanadaker Laizu, CO Dr Dabir Ahmed.

Citing different statistics they opined that during the last decade birth rate through operation soared by five per cent although 26 per cent of the women who gave birth through caesarian sections did not require it, the experts opined, adding that absence of proper guidance was leading to the higher rate  birth through caesarian section.

Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed underlined that motherhood has become a money spinning process through Caesar. To prevent such exploitation, the method of pain free birth. Although the gender ratio between man and woman in the society. Despite it the woman in the country are only considered a as a child bearing machines, professor Sayeed noted.
